DISNEY NIGHT!
This Saturday we will be hosting DISNEY NIGHT! We have lots of fun activities planned including: A visit from Disney princesses, obstacle courses and games, crafts and more.
  • Saturday, February 12th, 6:00 - 8:00 pm
  • Age 5+, $25 at the door
  • Travel Team Sleepover ($65): All travel team athletes are also invited to a post activity sleepover. They can attend the activities or just come at 8:00 for the sleepover.
Note: $65 for the sleepover + activities. $25 for just activities.

LETTER FROM THE DIRECTOR

​Cheer Families,
Hello! I have gotten a few questions about adding/removing classes, so I wanted to say that is it NOT too late! If you didn't register for Spring, or if you'd like to adjust your schedule, reply to this email or text me and I will get your athlete set. I'm about 48 hours behind on parents texts & emails right now, and will work on getting caught up tomorrow

TRAVEL TEAM SLEEPOVER: Our travel teams have been asking for a pre-Nationals sleepover, so we have decided to combine our Disney Night with a Travel Team Sleepover! During this event, we will have a visit from Disney princesses, an obstacle courses and games PLUS we will be tie-dying shirts for Disney, making luggage tags, and watching a movie. You can come for all the activities or just the sleepover part. If you are unable to make it, we will tie-dye your shirt for you.
  • $65 for Sleepover (includes activities) from 6:00pm-8:00am, or
  • $25 for just the activities, 6:00pm-8:00pm
  • Saturday February 12th​

​​CHEER SHOES & PARADE UNIFORM: All new athletes must purchase cheer shoes for practice (worn on the mat only). Shoe orders take a 2-3 weeks, so place your order today! Also, parade team athletes can now purchase their uniform & provide sizing information online (due  March 15th). <ORDER HERE>

NEW CHARGE DATE: This is a reminder that beginning this month, all auto-pay charges will hit on the 10th of the month, and late fees will be issued on the 15th of the month. Contact me if you need to make alternate payment arrangements.

Our travel teams had an amazing weekend at ASC in Tacoma! All three routines hit beautifully, and every single team beat their previous scores in Portland. On top of that, Queens and Legacy hit ZERO and Queens got their bid to USA Nationals! Way to go!

FIRST DAY!

If your athlete is new to the gym and starting this week for Spring Training or classes, here is some important need to know info! Note: Parade Mini & Junior teams DO NOT start until 3/7.
  • WHO: All new athletes starting add-on classes or Spring training programs begin the week of 1/31. If you signed up for a parade team AND an add-on class, their class will start 1/31 and their parade team will start 3/7.
  • WEAR: Athletes should wear fitted athletic clothing (no slippery or silky fabrics, big or loose sweatshirts or pants, etc.) to every practice. Hair is required to be pulled away from their face. If too short for a full ponytail, half up or, if can't do half up, a sports headband is accepted.
  • SHOES: Cheer shoes are required for all participants. If your child is new to cheerleading, we recommend purchasing our basic shoe HERE, but you may purchase ANY, all-white, cheer-specific shoe. Until their shoes arrive, they can go barefoot (no socks). We have some sizes in stock, otherwise shoes take about 3 weeks to arrive and we will deliver to the athlete at practice.
  • SAFETY: During stunting, athlete's clothing can be caught on piercings and tear the skin, therefore, NO JEWELRY is allowed on the practice floor. New piercings can be covered with a bandaid BEFORE practice at your own risk (not allowed for any performances). Nails must be of athletic length (look at your palm, not past the finger tips). Acrylics are allowed if smooth edges and at athletic length.
  • BRING: We have a drinking fountain in the gym but we recommend all athletes bring a full water bottle with them to the practice floor so they can stay hydrated throughout class.
  • WHERE: We are located on Evergreen across from Fred Meyer, next to Battery Systems. Our entrance is in the back of the building, and most parents use Holly Drive instead of Evergreen to enter. Park in the back lot and walk your athlete to the check in desk for their first practice. It is a bit dark back there... we are working on changing up the doors and adding better signage and lighting. We've only been in this building about 6 months!

  • FRONT LOT: The door facing Evergreen is an emergency exit only is locked from the outside at all times. The front parking lot is designated for staff only. Please do not use the Battery Systems lot before 5:15 pm.
  • PARENTS: Due to COVID and space restrictions, all practices are closed. For new/nervous athletes, you may watch the first couple practices. Grab a black chair and find a spot on the front of the mat. Try not to "coach" your athlete from the sidelines, instead just be there if they need you.
  • COVID & MASK POLICIES: Please read our full COVID policy HERE.
  • LEMONADE STAND: We have a lemonade/Italian soda stand in the gym, with drinks and snacks for sale. Snacks are $1-$2 and drinks are $2-$5. We do have punch cards available if you'd like to limit your athletes intake. For example, my child is in the gym 5 days a week. She gets one punch card a month (5 drinks) which allows her a drink a week and one extra. Energy drinks are allowed only for athletes 13+ or if you purchase an energy specific punch card.
  • CONTACTS: I am working on creating a phone list for our coaches and staff. If you have a questions about classes or general gym questions, reach out to your child's coach first. They will direct you to me if needed. If you have questions or issues about your account, payments, registration, it's best to email me at carrie@cascadeelitecheer.org! Feel free to reply to this email with any questions until I get out that phone list!
