LETTER FROM THE DIRECTORCheer Families,
We are working on a release video for our new season that will come out next Sunday along with the full Season Six Tryout Packet. We are asking our current families to send between 1 and 3 photos that would be good representation CEC over the years (anywhere from 2017 to last season!) to include in this video. They must be horizontal images, not vertical. We are looking for a variety of memories of events we've been to and seasons you cheerleader has experienced! Please email your photos to carrie@cascadeelitecheer.org COME SUPPORT SHOW TEAM: Our Show Team will be performing at the Everett Royals SEMI-PRO football game at Mariner High School this Saturday. Come out to support our Show Team and this new organization as it gains a local following! Kickoff is at 3:00 and tickets at $7 (bring cash). PICTURE DAY: Team athletes should arrive in time for their team photo (times listed below) and then stay on site for individuals. Athletes arriving earlier may be able to get their individuals done before team pictures as time allows. Make sure you bring a completed order form! The order form is available to print by clicking the form Forms & Flyers button or here.
UNIFORM: Please arrive in uniform after using the restroom as there will not be indoor access. For parade athletes, uniform includes: white sports bra (or no bra), white CE tank, red shorts (we recommend with black spandex), white Nike crew socks, cheer shoes and optional bow. We will provide props like poms/megaphones. HAIR: We recommend pulling a small section up to use the bow (we call this 1/4 up), or leaving hair down for pictures. BASKET FUNDRAISER PICK UP: Hanging Baskets will be available for pick up Friday 4/29, 4:00-7:00 PM. If you participated in this fundraiser, please make arrangements to ensure sure they are picked up during this window. Email amanda@cascadeelitecheer.org with questions. Let me know if you have any questions, Carrie, she/her, 425-466-0810, carrie@cascadeelitecheer.org REGISTER FOR 2022-2023 TRYOUTS: |

SHOW TEAM EVENTSShow Team has a FOUR events the next two weeks that I have outlined below. I will post the details on band for each event and each weekend, so keep an eye out there as well, but here is the high level view:
4/29, 6-8, THIS FRIDAY: The Everett Royals football team had their field practice moved to Wednesday night, outside of their control. Therefore, we are moving our stunt clinic with the football players to Friday night. This is now OPTIONAL for all Show Team and Adult Stunt athletes, but we highly encourage all to come. We will show off some skills and teach the football team to stunt! 4/30, 2-6, THIS SATURDAY: Show Team will meet at Mariner High School on the football field for pre-game practice at 2:00 pm. Kickoff is at 3:00 pm. Games are usually 2-3 hours long. Come support your athlete from the stands! 5/6, 6:00 pm, NEXT FRIDAY: UW is hosting a Cheer/Dance team night at the ballpark! We will carpool to Husky Ballpark in Seattle, leaving the gym around 6:00 pm. Look for the band post regarding carpool and offer to drive if you plan to attend. Tickets are $5. We will post the link this week after confirming details with the event coordinator. After the game, the team will have a sleepover bonding night at the gym, so make sure they pack their overnight bag! 5/7, 10-1, NEXT SATURDAY: We will wake up together, get ready, and head over to Cascade High for team and individual pictures and then we will have an outdoor practice on the track to begin putting our parade routine together. Athletes can be picked up at 1:00 at Cascade High. FOOD FOR ABOVE: With the sleepover, baseball game, pictures, and practice, we will eat 2-3 meals together. The tickets for the game are covered by the gym, but not meals. We will decide as a group how to handle those meals and post details on band as we figure out the whole weekend plan! |
ORDER SHOES: If you haven't ordered cheer shoes for your child, please do so ASAP. All athletes in the gym (with the exception of our Tiny Tots) must practice in cheer shoes. <ORDER HERE>
UNIFORMS: Parade team uniforms have been sent home. Make sure you have your athlete try on everything for a good fit. If something doesn't fit, we have extras! Just bring it to the front desk.
JULY 4TH PARADE (INSTEAD OF 3/30): The Memorial Day Parade in Mill Creek has been canceled and we will be performing in the July 4th Parade instead! Because this parade is in July and practice is currently set to end in May we have decided to offer extended practices with no tuition charge for June. More details to come as June approaches.
