FINAL WEEK OF CLASSES!
This week is the final week of tumbling and flight classes. If your athlete is currently enrolled in Session 3, their last class will be this week (last class Saturday February 27th). If you'd like to re-enroll them for Session 4, do so below! Also, we are working on a new plan for next year with ongoing enrollment for optional classes, so you won't have to do this every 8 weeks! More info soon.

FIRST COMPETITION: UPCOMINGCarrie Anderson, Gym Director
We are headed into the most important 7 weeks of our season. Teams are getting ready to run their full outs and our first performance is in less than two weeks (March 6th). It is very important your athletes are at and on-time to every practice in the coming weeks. If you need to miss anything for any reason, message your athletes coach on TeamSnap. I'm starting to get a few questions about our showcase, so here's the details! Showcase day will be ran like a regular virtual recording competition day. We are having a showcase for a couple reasons, and one of them is to get the staff and kids used to what the day will look like so we are extra prepared for recording. However, not every team's routines will be 100% ready, so you may see some of the routine "marked" (they don't actually lift people up) until they are ready to fully perform it. Teams will be spread out throughout the day on Showcase and our two competition days, so there will not be more than two teams in the gym at any time. If you arrive early and we have not released the previous teams yet, please hang out in the line until the previous window's pick up is complete. We have teams in the gym from 8am to 6pm. Have athlete's arrive 100% ready! We will have a little time to fix hair, add bows, touch up make up, or adjust uniforms, but they should be ready as they arrive. We do not have time to get a bunch of athletes fully ready before we begin. Have them take pictures outside before they head in! They are always most photo ready before they hit the mat. There will be no spectators, but we will be posting performances on Instagram Live, just like during Battle of the Bows. Our goal is for every team to "hit zero" meaning their were no major mistakes or stunts dropped. Hitting zero means zero deductions... so if you hear your athlete talk about it, that is a good thing! We look forward to continuing to share this season with you via Instagram, and all the ways we can with our current situation. Let me know if you have any questions! |
Athlete of the Month: Gabe on Everett!
Coach Carrie would like to recognize Gabe not only for his excellent achievements as an athlete this year, but for being an exceptional role model on his team and in the gym. Gabe never hesitates to help out the younger kids or put a smile on a coach's face!
